I’m from Ecuador, and moving to Chicago for college gave me a chance to see how differently organizations can approach similar problems. At Loyola University Chicago, I study Supply Chain Management and Information Systems and Analytics, with a minor in Business of Applied Artificial Intelligence. I like seeing how those subjects come together in the work people do every day.
At Adidas in Quito, I saw how manufacturing and international operations connect, from what happens at a production site to what happens when goods cross a border. At Uber Freight, I looked at what transportation data could tell us about cost and service. At FedEx, I got to hear directly from customers about what made international shipping difficult. With Rambler Consulting Group, I helped a small business translate the way its team worked into requirements for a digital tool.
In Ecuador, nonprofit work and field research taught me to listen before drawing conclusions. At Loyola, leading a student organization and mentoring students gave me more ways to put that into practice. Across those experiences, I’ve found that I like understanding how an organization works, finding where people get stuck, and working with them on changes they can use. That’s what draws me to consulting, business strategy, analytics, and helping teams make practical changes with technology.
